You’re serious about the piano. In person, you get precise movement coaching, instant tone feedback in the room, and a clear plan after every lesson—so progress is joyful and rapid.

$200 per hour for in-person lessons.

What you get with in-person study

I help you replace inefficient movements with coordinated hand–wrist–arm actions, then structure your practice so changes stick under pressure. You’ll feel more ease, more control, and a sound that finally matches your ear. In-person students also join monthly performance workshops and play in two studio recitals each year.

Book your first lesson

No application needed—just pick a time in the booking form above. It’s fast and convenient. Your first lesson is reserved with a credit card; a 3% processing fee applies to that payment. After your first lesson, you can switch to Zelle, Venmo, check, or cash to avoid card fees.

Who this is for

Intermediate and advanced adult pianists who want expert eyes on technique, tone, and expression. Returners who feel stuck. Serious hobbyists preparing repertoire, exams, or performances. Classical focus. Kind, committed adults only.

Location & schedule

Lessons take place at my El Cerrito studio, serving Berkeley, Albany, Kensington, and North Oakland. I teach Tuesday–Friday afternoons and early evenings. Book openings as they appear; many students work with me for years.
